Welcome! I’m John Newman, and my psychotherapy practice is focused on the treatment of complex, chronic mental health challenges. My goal is to help you identify and challenge the patterns that have dictated your life up to this point, connect more easily with others, and generally feel more at home in the world. I believe mental health treatment should be compassionate, evidence-based, flexible, and highly individualized - and those are the values I’ll try to bring to our work together.
Beginning therapy can seem pretty daunting. That’s okay - I think it’s a pretty universal reaction. But if you’re ready to take the first step, click on my Contact page. I’m happy to set up a free consultation so you can learn more about me and my practice, get your questions answered, and get your first appointment scheduled.
About John Newman
My career in mental health began in 2013, when I took a job working third shift at a local halfway house. I graduated from Winona State University in May 2016, with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health and a certificate in Addiction Studies. Since then, it’s been my privilege to work in a variety of settings, in both clinical and supervisory roles.
